SYLP 2011
The WayUp Sacramento Youth Leadership Program (SYLP) camp has morphed into something amazing and gigantic in 2012--a 3-day camp for 500 incoming SCUSD High School 9th graders at Sacramento State University, to be held July 31, August 1, and August 2. Thanks to a partnership with the YDN and WayUp Sacramento and the Sacramento City Unified School District (and the Summer of Service program), and the funding support of The California Endowment, Building Healthy Communities Inititiative, this program will help enormous numbers of incoming 9th graders to develop a stronger sense of empowerment and leadership through a dynamic camp experience led by YDN staff, SYLP alumni, and youth and adult leaders from the schools which the 9th graders will attend in August.

SYLP 2012 - CSUS Volunteers

YDN has a horde of amazing volunteers to help keep everything running smoothly (thanks to YDN partners, WayUp Sacramento, and Starbucks), but we still need more! That's where you come in. Its as easy as registering online if you'd like to be a part of this amazing camp experience that is sure to cause huge positive ripples in the Sacramento universe. There are dozens of different roles you could fill, depending on your preference: registration, crowd control, supplies/materials, gopher/floater, late-night security shift (since students will be staying overnight in dorms).
