Your support will make a difference in the lives of many of our worlds future leaders!

Many of us are looking for ways to make a positive impact both within the lives of others  and in the  communities we live, work and play.  This year YDN  is taking part in #GivingTuesday -- a new day for giving back.

Today --  Tuesday December 3, 2013, global charities, families, businesses, community centers, students, and more are coming together in support of #GivingTuesday.

You don’t have to be a world leader or a billionaire to give back. #GivingTuesday is about ordinary people coming together doing extraordinary things. It's a simple idea.  Just find a way for you, your family, your community, your company or your organization to come together to give something more.  Then tell everyone you can about how you are giving.  Be a part of a national celebration of our great tradition of generosity.

Our services place youth at the center of everything we do.

The YDN is proud of its Youth Leadership Facilitator program.  All gifts received through the #GivingTuesday campaign will be invested into this program.  The program supports the development of 12-16 - high school youth each year.  The youth are recruited from past leadership camps.  They learn the skills and build relationships with the adult facilitators  to co-facilitate summer leadership camps for middle and high school students.

Envision our communities filled with youth who are safe, who have caring adults in their lives, who are doing well in school, and who are truly supported by families, schools, and communities working together--so that they will grow up to be healthy successful adults.  This is YDN's vision.  We serve organizations, schools, youth service providers, teachers and youth leaders themselves through our training, networking and youth leadership efforts.

We hope that you will consider making a charitable gift during the #GivingTuesday campaign to the Youth Development Network.

Your donation to YDN is a gift that will make an impact on the lives of youth in our communities!

Your investment in the Youth Leadership Facilitator program will support:

·        6–8 weeks of 21 century skill building training for a team of 12 – 16 high school students and 4 adult facilitators.

·        Provides meals, snacks and beverages for trainings and planning sessions.

·        A one day road trip to the camp/program location to familiarize the facilitation team with demographics of property where they will be facilitating the camp/program

·        Provides a safe environment and caring relationships where youth can strengthen relationships as they enhance their leadership and facilitation skills.

·        A debrief/celebration event where the facilitation team can capture lesions learned and celebrate their personal and team accomplishments

·        An alumni showcase event where all camp participants can reconnect with each other, share the progress and challenges of their site projects and celebrate the role they played in making a difference within their schools and communities.

·       School-site visits by Facilitation Team continuing to support action plans of the related schools.

Supporting youth in high-risk communities with access to caring adults and skills to create positive community change is not only life transforming for the youth, but can result in policies and communities that are more responsive to the needs of these youth.
